What is it & why should you use it?

Habit Drills are contextualised and actionable activities designed to enable the learner to practise the concepts learnt in the courses to their context. Utilising habit drills assists the learners in ingraining the knowledge and is a powerful tool to boost morale, enhance engagement and performance over time.

How to use it?

  1. Identify a situation from the learner's life where they can apply the concept learnt.

  2. Outline the steps to apply the knowledge that they have acquired.

  3. Ensure to create action points to help them self-assess their progress over time.

  • Drill: Set team norms to guide members’ behaviour and performance during chaotic days.

Activity: Use this three-step process to define and practise a norm that will benefit your team.

    1. Discuss with your team a norm it should set for improving its work. It could be about work timings, lunch break, meeting etiquettes, appreciation, celebrations, etc. Do establish the importance of setting norms.

    2. Come up with a visual/written cue that will serve as a reminder for everyone to practise the norm.

    3. Practise the norm as diligently as you can. Make the team self-regulate itself if someone breaks the norm.

Submission: Submit the norm that your team decided in the section below, mention how it will benefit your team. Post implementation, share your and your team’s experience.
